Adam and I decided that we wanted to get out and DO stuff this year, since last year we didn't really get to. We are getting to enjoy BEAUTIFUL weather this weekend, sunny and temps in the 70's! So we drove to the tip of the peninsula we live on. I realized afterwards that I took pictures of Blake instead of the surroundings. Oh well!
On our way; he fell asleep a little after this picture was taken.

naval museum
I have tried a couple times to get these pictures posted...
A week or so ago Adam and I took Blake to the Patuxent Naval Air Museum near base. We figured he'd get a kick out of it since he's obsessed with airplanes right now. He asks to watch the Magic of Flight at least once a day. We met our friends there and Blake and Lukas loved being able to run around.
Blake's face was hysterical, and he kept saying "WHOA! Airplane!" and pointing to each one.

chinese finger torture & other shenanigans
- The chinese finger torture is completely voluntary, by the way. Blake likes to stick his fingers into holes, whether it be his mouth or holes in the couch. We bought him a little chair from Ikea. I thought he would like to sit in it. Wrong! He flips it on it's back and pushes it around, but what he really likes to do is stick his fingers in the screw holes. They get stuck (only a little) and he cries. We've told him no and taken the chair away, but as soon as it's out again, the fingers are back in the holes. Ay! Ay! Ay! Boys, I guess.
- We have been trying to teach him to share, especially when his friends come over. He's not too keen on the idea though. Every time he has something that he doesn't want to share, he looks at me, shakes his head and says "no share, no share". It's really cute and annoying at the same time because he says it when no one is asking him to share, I guess he wants us to know that he's not in the mood? I've tried it back on him when he wants some of my drink or whatever... I look at him and say "mommie's, no share". He doesn't like that to much. I'm trying to teach him "share, please" in hopes that he'll get it.
- Blake's favorite fruit/snack is blueberries or "bee bee's". He LOVES them and don't think about asking him to share! He pushes my hands away and will definitely say "no share" every time. I've given him some as an afternoon snack and now he's asking for them. Good thing BJ's sells them in bulk... but he can't have too many.
- When Blake would do something I thought was naughty or rude, I would say "Excuse you?" Well he has taken that and ran with it. He uses it for multiple things, like if someone is in his way: "scuse you", if someone sneezes: "scuse you", and he uses it when people cough or burp: "scuse you". It's so funny.
- I don't know how this started, but he likes to say "I love you!" in a sharp, staccato way. We say it back and forth to each other and then he goes: "I love yoooooooouuuuuuu!" in a loud voice and we just laugh.
After about a month of him being sick, it's really nice to have my Blake back! He is just the happiest kid. He talks non-stop and Adam and I have a hard time figuring out what he's saying sometimes. He's a little parrot and will repeat just about anything you ask him to say both good and bad, so we try to avoid the bad.
