FRA going away

Okay, so they changed the KEY VOLUNTEERS (KV) to FAMILY READINESS ASSISTANTS (hence FRA). Sounds funny to me, but anyways...

They had a going away for me and here is the picture. We went to Crabby Patti's and I got a cookie jar with graffiti on it. Just what I wanted. Seriously, I told Diane to let Tricia know. I would have taken a picture... but it's packed.

pictures of the house

I'm not too crazy about the plain white, but I can't really complain about free. I'll have to take pictures of the inside when we get there.

Adam will get his parking spot on the side of the garage. (that's what he's most worried about)

The fenced in back yard.

I'm getting a little excited... we'll be there in a few days... we just have to get through the rest of the move!

proof that we are packing

Vegas is taking refuge from all the craziness.
Adam wanted to make sure that I said thanks to Lenette & Kathryn for helping...
so... THANKS!!!
You know I love you.

updates

I know everyone has asked questions like when and where are we moving and I wanted to try to answer every one's questions.
We are moving March 2. It's a Monday. We will be moving to California, MD (I google mapped it so you know where it is) and we have a house to move to (I can't google map that because the area is brand new and google can't find it). We have friends up there that are doing us a great favor and taking a picture of our house tomorrow, so when I get it, I'll try to post it, or I'll make y'all wait a week... we'll see how the week goes.
We are selling our house. We are going to give it 6 months and if we can't sell it, then we'll rent it out.
The military will move us, however Adam really wanted to do it ourselves... (I have veto power for all future moves). The bad news is that we are packing ourselves up (uuuggghhh) with a little help from our friends (YAY!) We are picking up the truck on Thursday and will start loading it.
I have an interview at a hospital after we get up there, so let's hope that, 1. I get a job & 2. I will like working there. The hard thing will be trying to find someone to watch Blake. There is no one like Regina.
We will miss all of the friends we have made, but the good thing about the military is that even though we move around a lot, so do your friends and the Marine Corps can be a small world sometimes. It's wonderful to have friends to visit and that can come visit you. By the way, Adam & I like company, so feel free to visit!

more cute baby pictures

My baby is 8 months old! He's growing so fast, but he's still in 6 month clothes... He's crawling & exploring the house. He's pulling up on the furniture & starting to cruise.

I keep wanting to call this his high chair, but it's really a booster seat...

My little monkey thinks that he needs to stand up in his crib when he's supposed to be sleeping. You can't see it in these pictures, but there is a mobil in his crib that he can turn on and off.

He's sad because I haven't gotten him out yet...

We are planning on having more, not right away. We've been throwing around baby names...

Adam really likes Jethro and Stig for boys and Danica for a girl name. I'm not convinced. I basically just have to keep throwing random names out to distract him.

more pictures of my growing boy

He doesn't need his baby bath now.

He chases his ducky around the tub splashing the water.

He's started pulling up. We found him today standing up in his crib. He gets himself standing at the loveseat and cries because he hasn't figured out how to move from that spot.

By the way, we haven't started really packing yet, but we need to...

base housing in MD

This is a playground...

One of the houses...

This is a good picture to see the house with the fenced in yard and detached 2 car garage...

A back view of that house.

They are brand new, and have plenty of room.

random tidbits and a lesson learned

1. Selling a house is a pain in the butt! They call you up when someone wants to see the house and then you have to run around like crazy, making sure everything is clean. Then you're in the car wondering where you are going to go and what you're going to do when you get there.

2. Vegas is perfectly happy being the only cat... little does she know, mommy's secretly planning to get a puppy in the near future.

3. Usually I keep my anger pretty well wrapped up. I don't yell or stomp my feet or hit stuff. Last Sunday while driving to church, I was angry. In a moment of weakness, I banged my fist on the steering wheel while driving and ended breaking the windshield wiper stalk (the thingy that turns the windshield wipers on and off). It was hanging by the wires. So we took the car in to be fixed. Luckily I worked an extra day and the cost to replace the wiper stalk was as much as I made that day. I know, sucks to be me...

4. We were at a friends house, watching the Superbowl. We ended up having a conversation about spring water vs tap water. Adam read the Aquafina bottle and it said that it's basically filtered tap water, which he thinks is gross. He said he only drinks spring water... "the water that comes from nature" Right Adam, tap water doesn't come from nature... (I'm cracking up right now) I told him he needed to stop smoking the crack...
