It's so nice to live in the same area as our house. So we can house stalk! It's so cool to see the progress!

salvation mountain
Last night we had pretty good thunderstorms with lots of rain ( for the desert) We decided we wanted to go explore and Adam decided to take us out to the middle of nowhere towards the Salton Sea. I guess that way there is a place called Salvation Mountain he wanted to check out. The road there was washed out in a couple places.
Anyways, this guy built all the stuff with hay and clay. EVERYTHING was painted. It was pretty neat to see, but very weird. There was also a bunch of RV's just parked all over the desert.
Also there are an amazing amount of hat fields and PILES of hay bales all over. There's also train tracks that run along the highway and Blake really gets a kick out of seeing them.

we're here!!!
After our rest day in MO, we headed to Oklahoma City and stayed a night with family. We left early that morning to start our LONG travel day... 680 miles! The others were about 500 miles a day. We were happy to make it to Gallup, NM. It was nice to see the changing scenery.
Adam left super early that morning so he could make it to Yuma, get the rental and have the electric put in our name. Mom and I followed a little later. The boys did pretty well. Tired and cranky from not sleeping/napping and dealing with the time changes. We are still waking up at 5 am.
First thing Adam did when we got here was go visit our house. He's crazy!
We are SO happy to be out of the car!

day one and two
We left MD @ 9am Thursday morning. Baxter and I left. We had a small hiccup... The exhaust on the mini dropped, Baxter fixed that. Then Adam's car wouldn't start. We got it jumped and no more problems! It took me about 250 miles to get comfortable pulling the mini and after that it went much better. Adam had to wait until 1:30 to meet with the CO before he could leave. He caught up to us in Springfield, OH that night. We left by 8 Friday morning and made it to St. Louis in PLENTY of time for Baxter to catch his flight back. We were so early, he caught an earlier flight. We made to Mom & Dad's and had time to relax.
We leave Sunday morning for Oklahoma.
